Many older homes still have wallpaper in their homes which are made out of organic materials. Wallpaper paste which is made of a starchy wet glue which is organic and will grow mold. Then the paper itself is organic and will grow mold too.'

Both the before and after pictures are of the problems with having wallpaper. Because mold will root into the paper it all had to be removed to rid the house of mold. Cleaning the surface of the paper will not get rid of the mold and will lessen the wallpaper such as in the second picture after the homeowner tried to clean up the problem themselves.

The after picture is of a plain wall without the wall paper which is found commonly in most homes.
